I'm a day late posting these sorry I have a poorly boy this weekend and yesterday I was having Internet problems. I hate it when I can't get broadband I feel so lost! Now on to business!

I'll start with Vicki's new kit called "Beautiful Garden" and such a beautiful kit is to.

My mothers day treat was a trip to the local zoo and this picture is of my youngest son sitting on the tractor at the petting zoo.

I love this kit, my favourite colour combinations at the moment are pink and chocolate brown, but having two boys I always struggle to find a photo to go with them.

Hi every one I am not a happy bunny because my external hard drive has broken this is the second one I have had in about six months and I am not happy about it. Luckily I backed up a couple of weeks ago so If I can't get the data of it I have only lost two weeks worth of downloads.

A Bit Late And A Template

First of all I have my layout for week 3 of P365. I've had it done for a while but just hadn't got round to posting it.

Here is the two page layout.

And next are the single pages so you can see them in more detail.

My three year old son Alex comes out with the funniest little saying and when you ask him or tell him to do something he usually replies "I'm too big" or "I'm too small" but this time he came out with "I'm too grown up". I dread to think what he will be telling me when he's 13.

Just A Layout

I hope you've all had a good weekend. Just thought I'd show you a layout that I have using pictures of my son Callum playing with one of his Christmas presents.

I know he will hate me for this layout when he's older but I had to do it.

He had seen this cupcake maker advertised on the TV (kids channels shouldn't have toy adverts) And he kept going on about. It got nearer and nearer to Christmas and he still wanted one so I put it on a list that I gave to his Auntie but she refused to buy it because it was too girly.

Any way it was about three weeks before Christmas and as you do when they are naughty I threatened that Father Christmas wouldn't bring him any toys, just an orange and a piece of coal. His reply was as long as I get a Nintendo DS, a WALL-E DVD and a cupcake maker he didn't care what else he got. I sat him down and said to him that it was very girly and it was called Girl Gourmet Cupcake Maker and did he still want one, he said he didn't care whether it was girly. So Father Christmas bought him one.

So here is a layout of his first attempt of making a cupcake with it and it didn't go to well.

I have used paper from Vicki's Candy Dream kit,

journaling mat and brackets from Sara's (Sweet Blossom Designs) Candy Dream Add-on

and cupcakes (which I recoloured) from Digi-Designs by Nicole's Celebrate kit.

Project 365

As you can see I have put a new slide on my blog they are my project 365 photo's. I wasn't going to do it until I put my photo's from my new camera (a Christmas present from the boys and their dad) on to my computer on Monday and realised I had taken one every day already so I decided to carry on. Rather than posting a picture everyday I will add a few at a time as I don't get time to blog every day. I have done a layout for week 1 but I used one of Vicki's kits that hasn't been released yet, so you will have to wait until Monday to see it.

As soon as I saw the stripy paper I knew straight away what photo's I was going to use.

These photo's are of my son Alex with felt tip pen stripes all over his arms and legs. If I don't watch him he draws stripes all over himself because he wants stripes like TIGGER.

He really love watching "My Friends Tigger and Pooh" on the playhouse Disney channel when he goes to Nanny and Grandads.

You probably all know by now as I'm a bit late posting this, but Vicki is now selling her kits at eidou.com. Her first kit that she is selling is called "Winter Wonderland" and here is the preview.

It's such a beautifull kit and it's on sale for $4 click the preview and it will take to Vicki's store. I am so lucky to have had chance to play with this it before it went on sale.

I have also used template#31 "snow fun" by Liz Designs. I have got a thing for templates at the moment I just love them.

I am so relieved to finally have the Internet back. I have been with out it ALL weekend and it finally came back today. I didn't know what to do with myself. Saturday I was checking it every five minutes to see if it had come back. Sometimes the Internet is a bit temperamental any way, but I couldn't believe it when it still wasn't working on Sunday. What was I going to do.

My oldest son wasn't very well so he kept me busy and that kept my mind off it.

Don't you just feel so cut off from the world what would we do with out, especially here in scrap land.

I know have some catching up to do. So I will be back later with some CT layouts and other layouts I have done.

Eila has pointed out something I was not aware of about 4shared, thank you for pointing it out. I wasn't complaining about lack of comments left for me, I was just generally commenting as what I see as a freebie hunter. Several of the freebies that I left comments for I left comments on their blogs as well and there was only a few other people that left comments on their blogs. there just seems that since 4shared has changed people just don't seem to bother leaving comments at all.

While downloading some freebies I noticed the lack of comments on 4shared. Are people put off by now having to log in to leave a comment? It doesn't take long to log in and leave some love. I think I can say for every one that we appreciate ALL the comments you leave even if it just a thank you. So take a little time to leave some love if you download a freebie.

Vicki kindly asked us what colours we would like a kit in and I chose monotone blues as I had photos that had a lot of blue in them and having boys blue is always a great colour to have a kit in. This is what Vicki came up with and I absolutely love it.

This is the layout I have done with it and I plan to do a few more with it.

First up I have a layout using my "Bath Time" kit.

For this layout I have used Vicki's Scrap N Art friday freebie kit "Halloween Sream"

Next are to layouts I have done using Sara's (Sweet Blossom Designs) kit "Boys Club"

My two boys love their grandad (my dad) and when he comes round to do some diy or gardening for me they love to try and help out. Most things like drills, tools and lawnmowers that grandad uses they have a toy version of and they always trying to be like their grandad.

What a week

Last week was a bit of a funny week with children ill it takes up quite alot of your time and to top it off I was unwell at the weekend.

First Part Of My Freebie

Sorry it's late I had a lot trouble uploading yesterday. I also had a lot of trouble downloading. I just hate it when I'm 90% something downloaded and I loose my connection.

I Guess This Is My First Tutorial

This little tutorial is for Jess she wanted to know how I put the photo on the background.

I use Photoshop Elements 4 for my layouts.

First you take a paper of your choice and drag it into your new blank file. I used one from Vicki's "Breakfast At Tiffany's".

You can do it with out a background behind the photo, but I prefer the effect it gives.

Then you find the photo you want to use on the background and drag it onto the paper(making sure it's on a new layer.

Next you resize (making sure you maintain aspect ratio) it so it covers the whole of the paper and position it so you've got the main subject where you want them. I position mine just slightly of center and make sure I have room for the embellishments and title.

Now change the opacity of the photo (so it blends in with the background paper) until you are happy with the effect. I changed my opacity to 60%.

If you are completely happy with the position and opacity of the photo I sometimes fine it easier to merge your layers at this point.

Finish off by adding your embellishments, title etc.

I have also done this with another layout if you scroll done to labels on the left hand side and click on layouts and scroll down til you see the layout.

A Little Rant And Vicki's New Kit

After I got my computer back to healthy again I decided to get a external hard drive as I needed more space. So I bought one, today it is not working. I hav tried it on two different computers to see whether it was my computer. Unfortunatly it wasn't and I've only had it 2 months. Well at least I can take it back to the shop.

Now that I have finished my little rant I can show you my layout using Vicki's new kit "Wild Child" which she released the first part of yesterday.

This kit really made me think out of the box. I love the creative challenges of being on Vicki's creative team.

Some Layouts And A New Addition To Our Little Family

After Loosing every thing on my hard drive I was a bit disheartened because I lost a lot of my digi scrap kits that I had downloaded and a months worth of photos, which luckily wasn't too many. But now I am back on track and raring to go. So firstly I would like to show you two layouts that I have done.

For this layout I have used "The Great Outdoors" papers, "Summer Garden" and "The Great Outdoors" embellishments and "The Great Outdoors" Alpha all by Vicki A Work In Progress

For this layout I have also used kits by Vicki A Work In Progress. I used her "Earthtones" papers, "Fired Earth" and "Earthtones" embellishments and "Fired Earth" alpha

Secondly I would like to introduce my new little baby Sammy. he is about two and a half he's a bit of a pickle but he better behaved than my two boys at the moment. Unfortunately he does like to chew any thing plastic. he has also had my washing off the line a few times as well but luckily he has stopped that now. I've had him about a month and we already been through 4 baby bottles. My youngest son Alex likes milk in the morning and before bed but he has to have it in a baby bottle (I've tried all sorts of big boys cups but he won't drink his milk out of them) and if he leaves them lying around on the floor the dog picks them up and before you know it he's chewed it. Anyway here is a picture of him which was very difficult to get as he was very interested in the camera.

Here is a freebie for you and as usual I do most freebies in run skip and jump. Although I have two boys and no girls I don't like to be biased.

Unfortunately I can not do the leather hearts in run because I lost the grey scale heart and ribbon that I downloaded free from someones blog and as I visit so many different blogs I can't remember which one.
